Each bag is made out of a unique combination of leather leftovers. The fancy term for these leftovers is ‘overstock leather’. This leather was made by a tanner for a certain top-notch brand. But then they decided not to buy it when the process was finished. This can happen because there is a scratch in the leather. Or because the colour deviates just a little from what it should have been. Perhaps the leather was not evenly spread or was too perfectly spread. Whatever the reason, they don’t want it anymore. Luckily we definitely want it! We welcome small imperfections and or deviations. The grains, scars and colour of this living material is what makes your bag unique. What we do is, we use the imperfect leftovers to make the small compartments within the bag and/or process the leftovers in the bag in a manner in which they are not visible.
